The scheme, a 891 sqm L shaped plan of 25 apartments is located in a corner plot in Southampton.
Our vision was to enhance and compliment the surroundings. In particular, it proposed a positive relationship with the locally listed church through the 'L' Shape and carefully positioned Glazing. Visual interest would be created through recessed profiles and steel balustrades. It includes a rich material palette reflecting the richly detailed and warm brickwork of the adjacent church, including high quality brickwork and timber corner elements.
The scheme developed around the idea of providing a single, generous courtyard amenity space, which has a strong and positive relationship with the new residential units.
