ECA successfully prepared accompanying statements to the plans for the house to take to the planning department. The statement justified the design of the scheme noting how the existing property negatively contributes to the surrounding environment while proposed plans will make a considerable improvement to both the site itself and the wider area
We successfully justified land use, layout, materials, amenity, landscaping and early-modernist design of the new dwelling.
Particular challenges we overcame included its low lying nature and therefore risks of flooding, overlooking of neighbours and justifying the layered design where each floor a separate and unique “layer”.
