The design of the roof presented a huge challenge as the steel elements had to be made planar with butterfly roof.
This was achieved through an interstitial timber frame composed of rafters and firring pieces.
The hydraulic lifts are now in place complete with rams and lifting mechanisms. The walling systems will start to be installed in the New Year.
The two halves of the building are due to be craned into the water in early spring. They will then be floated around the corner into their final dock for commissioning and completion.
